Peter’s practice has been concentrated in Civil Litigation in both the Federal and State Courts in Connecticut since 1975. He has handled hundreds of cases involving personal injury, products liability, medical malpractice, civil rights, municipal liability, unfair trade practices, bad faith, construction defects and insurance coverage.

Vast Courtroom Experience

Peter has tried over 50 civil jury cases to verdict. He has argued numerous cases before the Connecticut Appellate Court and the Connecticut Supreme Court.

A Strong Background in Mediation

After clerking for the Honorable Anthony J. Travia, United States District Judge for the Eastern District of New York, Peter became an Associate and then Partner with Pullman, Comley, Bradley and Reeves. He later became a Partner with Williams, Cooney and Sheehy. In 1997 he started his own firm.

Peter has been associated with Attorney Michael Deakin since 2004 and became a name partner in Deakin, Edwards & Clark when it was incorporated in 2012. Peter graduated with a BA from Trinity College in 1969, and earned his JD with Honors from Syracuse University College of Law in 1972. He was admitted to the bar in New York in 1972 and in Connecticut in 1973. Peter is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and the Connecticut Defense Lawyers Association.
